See how Profox helped create a spectacular festival experience in the forest.

Smukfest has created and developed EKKO, a new EDM stage in the beech forest. An ambitious setting for electronic music, brought to life with lighting, screens and SFX supplied by Profox.

EKKO is a new world of electronic music in the beech forest, developed and created by Smukfest. Here, sound, lighting, video and stage design come together to surround the audience and create immersive EDM experiences.
As a technical supplier and partner, Profox helped bring Smukfest’s vision to life by supplying and operating lighting, SFX and screens, alongside the technical infrastructure.

One of the EKKO stage’s most striking features is its LED backdrop, measuring four metres high and 39 metres wide. Together with the additional screens housed in modules above the stage and within the roof structure, Profox’s video package comprised more than 300 m² of LED screens. These were integrated into the stage design and surrounding area, allowing custom-designed visuals to flow across the screens.
Profox supplied more than 300 lighting fixtures for the production. A combination of moving heads, wash lights, lasers and strobe effects made it possible to create a varied light show that extended across the stage, the audience and the surrounding forest.
Smoke and other special effects added depth to the lighting and made the stage’s visual impact even more powerful.

A handful of the productions where the story had to land exactly right.

Profox designed the technical storytelling for a light show marking the end of an era: the decommissioning of TYRA, one of Denmark's largest offshore platforms, after 30 years in the North Sea.

To attract a younger audience, Aalborg Diocese arranged a different kind of church service: one where lighting and music took center stage inside Budolfi Cathedral.
