Lysfald: A 25-Hectare Sensory Journey

Denmark's largest light and sound installation, Lysfald transforms Farup Sommerland into a 25-hectare sensory adventure each autumn. It's a recurring collaboration now in its fourth year.

A brightly lit rollercoaster with purple and pink lights twists over water at night, with another coaster and trees in the background, reflecting vivid colors.
Bright white spotlights fan out into the night sky above a vibrant, colorfully lit outdoor festival with red and blue lights illuminating trees and structures.

Mapping That Brings the Landscape to Life

Lysfald is designed to engage visitors of all ages, where every area and path in the park offers a new experience. Through the use of mapping, a technology that turns the landscape into living canvases, trees, cliffs and water come alive, blending into one visual story about the four seasons.

Orkan-søen (Storm Lake) is transformed into a living light show, where reflections in the water and the surrounding props create an enchanting atmosphere. Elsewhere, pumpkins are animated through video mapping at Pumpkin Portal, and Mine Expressen shows light mapping across its facades, turning the whole park into a visual kaleidoscope.

A roller coaster speeds along a curved track at night, lights creating motion blur. Blue beams shine into the sky and colorful lights illuminate the scene, with a building and trees in the background.

    A Partnership Built on Innovation

Lysfald is created in close collaboration with Profox, bringing nature and technology together in one harmonious story that celebrates the four seasons. Each new season brings new adventures for visitors. The ongoing partnership makes it possible to adapt and innovate the concept, so park visitors can always expect something new and unforgettable.
