Ranum Efterskole: From Bomb Shelter to Blockbuster

A bomb shelter turned blockbuster.

Ranum Efterskole wanted a room where students could actually watch a film, not squint at a wall. We delivered the big screen, serious sound, and the acoustics to make it happen.

Rows of empty, modern gray seats in a small, dark theater or cinema, with a projector mounted on the ceiling and black curtains along the walls.

We turned an old bomb shelter at Ranum Efterskole into a proper cinema: big screen, serious sound, zero compromises.

Case study

From Bomb Shelter to Blockbuster

Ranum Efterskole wanted a proper cinema, not a projector wheeled into a common room. We turned an old bomb shelter into a real screening room: big picture, serious sound, and the acoustics to match.

The brief

From Common Room to Cinema

Ranum Efterskole wanted to turn an existing room into a cinema where students could gather for films, lessons, and shared moments. We delivered and installed the complete technical setup: picture, sound, and acoustics working together to nail the cinema feel.

Rows of empty, dark gray theater seats with a textured fabric surface are shown in close-up. A black curtain covers the background, and seat numbers are visible on small metal plaques.
An empty movie theater with rows of gray seats faces a blank projection screen. Black curtains and a ceiling-mounted projector are visible, creating a modern, minimalist cinema atmosphere.

    Big Picture, Big Sound

The projector throws a big, sharp image that keeps the film alive even with a room full of students. It’s sized to the room, so everyone gets a clear view of the screen. A great picture needs sound to match. The room runs on a proper speaker set and a serious amp, so dialogue, music, and effects all come through clearly, wall to wall.
